The President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in São Paulo (Italcam), Graziano Messana, received last Wednesday (4) the Order of Rio Branco, the highest honor of Brazilian diplomacy.The Ambassador of Brazil in Italy, Helio Vitor Ramos Filho, conferred the title of commendatory to the president of Italcam at the headquarters of the Brazilian diplomatic representation in Palazzo Pamphilj, Rome.Ramos Filho stated that the appointment took place with the motivation of "meritorious achievements" and "civic virtues" of "a friend of Brazil"."This tribute is a recognition of the efforts made in recent years and that we continue to make for the further development of relations between the two countries," the Brazilian diplomat said."Brazil is destined to assume an increasingly leading role in international relations," declared Messana, who recalled how today there are 970 Italian companies in Brazil and about 500 in the state of Sao Paulo alone.Graduated from the Luiss Guido Carli University of Rome, economist, and businessman, Messana arrived in Brazil in 2006, where he founded the company GM Venture.Since 2020 he has been at the head of the São Paulo Chamber of Commerce."Brazil has an energy matrix that is the consumption dream of many European countries because it is substantially renewable for more than 80%," said the president of the Chamber of Commerce.The Order of Rio Branco is one of Brazil's most important honors.
