PREVIEW OF THE "DOING BUSINESS IN BRAZIL" INVESTMENT GUIDE

The Commercial Office of the Italian Embassy in Brasilia, in partnership with GM Venture and KPMG, has created the "Doing Business in Brazil" guide, aimed at Italian economic operators interested in investing in the Brazilian market.A preview of the guide was presented on 14 June in Rio de Janeiro by the Italian Ambassador to Brazil, Antonio Bernardini, and the managing partner of GM Venture, Graziano Messana, at the meeting between the Brazilian Economy Minister, Paulo Guedes, and about 100 representatives of Italian companies. The event opened by the Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ricardo Antonio Merlo.The guide aims to offer Italian entrepreneurs a simple and rapid consultation tool, which is useful for their strategic investment decisions on the Brazilian market. It consists of a mapping of the opportunities for investment, divided by geographical area and sector of activity; a description of the business support role played by the Embassy and the other components of The Italian System in Brazil, with particular reference to the financing opportunities offered by the Cash Deposits and Loans group; a series of tips on the market entry strategy; guidance on legal, fiscal and regulatory issues; 969 Italian companies surveyed in Brazil, divided by geographical area and the predominant sector of activity.The full version of the guide, about 250 pages, will be officially presented in Italy in September.
